Adding Custom Colors to LessonUp

In this article, we explain how you can add your own color palette to LessonUp.

Updated over a year ago

In LessonUp, you have the option to add colors to your color palette. All added colors are instantly available everywhere. This means that the colors you add can be used for both text and background colors.

Step 1

In the editing screen, click on the Color button.

You will now see the default colors of LessonUp. Click on the pencil icon to add a color. A color palette will appear. This will be empty the first time, but all colors you add will be visible here, and you can adjust or remove them.

Step 2

Click on the "Add a color" button. A box with a white square will appear. Click on the white square.

Step 3

The color picker will now open. This is the color picker used by the operating system. In the image below, you can see the color picker for Windows.

You can now add any desired color. This can be done by selecting a color or using RGB codes, which are commonly used by designers.

Step 4:

Are you satisfied with the color? Click on "Close."

The color is now usable throughout LessonUp. As a background color...

...or as a text color:

...or with various components:

Colors in this lesson:

You will now see the section "colors in this lesson" under "my colors." LessonUp directly adds the colors used throughout the entire lesson here. This makes it easy for you to maintain a consistent color scheme when creating new slides.

Tip: add your school's colors to make your lesson easily recognizable. You can also remove LessonUp's default colors, so your color palette always appears at the top.
