How to close the pincode by default
How to close the pincode by default
Updated over a year ago

If you teach (online), you obviously only want to do this to the students in your class. That is why we always advise you to close the PIN and use the option Teach [class]. This option requires students to be registered and logged into your class. You can then be sure that only your students are in the class.

For users of the latter option, we have built in a convenient, extra security feature. It is now possible, in Give lesson to [class], to have the PIN closed by default when you start the lesson.

You turn on this optional feature via the settings in your LessonUp environment. You'll find these when you click on your name in the top right, then go to the Settings section.

The PIN is now off by default for all lessons you teach via Teach [class].

Good to know: of course you can always make the PIN visible again during the lesson, should this be necessary. You do this by clicking on the crosses in the bottom left corner during the lesson. And uncheck Close for new participants.
