Adding a hotspot to your slide
A hotspot is a useful component for adding extra information to your slide without making your slide too busy. In addition, hotspots allow you to deliver dosed information to your class. You can now easily add a hotspot to your slide by clicking ‘Hotspot’ directly above your slide.
Step 1: Add the hotspot
Adding a hotspot to your slide is very simple: click on hotspot and it will be added to your slide immediately. Think about what you want to use the hotspot for: do you want to give extra explanation using text or do you want an image/GIF to appear?
Step 2: Design the hotspot
When the hotspot has been added to your slide and you select it, a floating menu appears immediately above the hotspot. This allows you to customise the colours of the border, background and text/icon in the hotspot.
Step 3: Add text or media
Text
You can give the hotspot a title, which is immediately visible on your slide. You can also add text to your hotspot. The text is only visible when you unfold the hotspot.
Media
You can add an image or GIF to your hotspot. The image/GIF appears on screen when you click the hotspot and disappears again when you click the hotspot again. Select the hotspot and click Choose image in the right-hand menu.
Upload an image or choose an image from your uploads. When you upload an image, you will first see a screen indicating that the image has been added to your uploads. You will then see the screen below and add the image to your slide.
The image is added and linked to your hotspot. You can resize the image. Make sure you don't paste it over your hotspot, because then you won't be able to click on it to close it.
