What is a clipboard?
The clipboard is a tool your computer or device uses to temporarily store information you’ve copied. For example, when you highlight some text and press "Copy," that information is saved to the clipboard. Later, you can "Paste" it somewhere else, like into a document or a website. Think of the clipboard as a temporary holding place for the items you want to move around.
