Add LessonUp as a trusted app in Google Workspace for Education

This article is only relevant if your organization uses Google Workspace for Education.


Google ensures that student data is well protected. For this reason, you need to add LessonUp as a trusted app to your Google Workspace for Education. Below are step-by-step instructions for the settings you, as an administrator, need to apply.

Step 1

Log in to your Google Workspace for Education admin account.

Step 2

Navigate to the admin console and click on 'Security.'

Step 3

Select 'Access and data management' from the menu and then 'API controls.'

Step 4

Click on 'Manage third-party app access.'

Step 5

A. Adding the web version

  • Click on "Add App" and choose "OAuth App Name Or Client ID"

  • Search for LessonUp and select LessonUp from the list

  • Select all OAuth Client IDs

B. Adding iOS

Click the 'Add App' button and select iOS. Enter the following URL to find LessonUp for iOS:

io.lessonup.studentapp

Select LessonUp in the search results and choose who you want to grant access to. Then, select 'Trusted.'

C. Adding Android

Click the 'Add App' button and select Android. Enter the following URL to find LessonUp for Android:

io.lessonup.studentapp

Select LessonUp in the search results and choose who you want to grant access to. Then, select 'Trusted.'
