Alignment in drag and drop
Updated over 12 months ago

When students place drag and drop components in a drop target, they will automatically be placed at the centre of the drop target. This may not necessarily be a problem, but sometimes the text in the drop target is partially hidden. If you want to keep the drop target text visible, there are several solutions available. One of them is to align the text within the drop targets. This article explains the simple actions required to do so.

Step 1

Create a drag and drop.

Step 2

Access the settings of the drop target via the cogwheel followed by the pencil icon. Then, go to the Text tab.

Step 3

Enter your text and select the first icon under Vertical text alignment.

Step 4

Now, go to the Drag and Drop question tab and uncheck the box that says Center drag components automatically when dragged onto this target.

Step 5

Click on OK. You are now back in the drag and drop question and can make further adjustments—to the layout, for instance.

Step 6

Once the drag and drop question is complete, you'll notice that the drag components no longer overlap the text in the drop target.
