This article explains how the various options for digital testing in LessonUp

Updated over a year ago

Using Classroom Tests Online

In LessonUp, you can convert the classroom test into a digital test within the test module. You then distribute the test through 'My Classes.' LessonUp has the capability to distribute the tests in random order, generating as many versions as there are students in the class. The answers to quiz questions are also displayed in random order. Additionally, you can ensure that students cannot skip ahead or go back in a test.

Multiple Test Versions

LessonUp can distribute the test in random order to students. You can also choose to distribute multiple, distinct versions within a class. The most convenient method for this is to use multiple LessonUp classes.

Timing Tests and/or Offering Them in Segments

Teachers familiar with listening and reading comprehension tests are aware that students have limited time to respond. In the test settings, you can specify how long a student is allowed to answer (a portion of) the test. Moreover, you can offer the tests in segments and open or close each segment separately. This means students have a limited number of minutes for a question or a series of questions.

Considering potential reading difficulties among students, it's always a good practice to think about whether you want to use a timer for a test.

Please note: LessonUp offers the ability to apply a timer only to the entire test, not to individual questions. Given the possibility of reading difficulties among students, it's always a good idea to consider whether you want to use a timer for a test.
