Sometimes you'll find that you can't edit the text of an existing slide; this can be caused by a few different things.

The lesson contains an imported PowerPoint (or part of one). When you insert a PowerPoint presentation, LessonUp converts all the slides into images. The text that is visible in the LessonUp lesson is no longer editable in LessonUp.

Overlapping Text Boxes

Sometimes, text boxes overlap each other, making it challenging to access the desired text for editing. By adjusting the order of text boxes, you can bring the background text boxes to the front. To do this, click on the text box's gear icon and select 'Bring to Front' to reorganise the text boxes.
