Using colours in formulas.

A slight adjustment in the formula editor results in colourful formulas for mathematical subjects.

Updated over a year ago

The formula editor in LessonUp is versatile, allowing input of any formula in lessons. For a subject like Mathematics, it can be beneficial to assign different colours to components within the formula, for instance, to clarify an explanation. This is achievable in the formula editor.

Add a formula using the +Component button. The formula editor will appear. Switch to the Text editor by clicking on the Text editor button. This enables you to expand the capabilities of the formula editor.

Colours can be entered by using the following addition to a symbol: \color{green}{x}, where the text between the first {} determines the colour, and the text between the second {} represents the symbol.

This addition must be done separately for each coloured symbol. Before entering this in the top box of the editor, it will look like this:

An example is provided, and after pressing Save, the formula appears in the lesson.
