It's a familiar situation: due to personal and/or organizational circumstances, you're leaving the school (and moving to a new one). But what happens to your lessons when you're no longer under a school subscription?
From School Subscription to Free Account
When you are removed from the school subscription by the administrator, your account will be converted to the free version. With this, you can still create and deliver lessons*. Features like creating classes, conducting tests, and sharing lessons with students are no longer possible. You can purchase a pro subscription for these features, often reimbursable by your school. If your new school has a school subscription, there's no need for this. The administrator of the new school can add you to their school subscription.
*The number of lessons you can deliver is limited to 10 lessons per month in the free version. This limit resets on the first day of each month. Delivered lessons only count if the session lasts longer than 5 minutes. Lessons from our content partners (channels) are not counted, meaning you can continue delivering these lessons without restriction.
Existing Lessons
The lessons you've created at your 'old' school, within the school subscription, remain in your LessonUp environment.
Note: If all your lessons are in the (blue) Shared folder of your school, these lessons will be lost once the administrator removes you from the school subscription. In that case, make a copy into your personal LessonUp environment. In this environment, the folder color is yellow.
Existing Classes
The classes you've created are linked to your account, not the school subscription. They will remain in your account. Ensure that you transfer class management to a colleague. Read more about it here.
Same Account, Different Email Address
When you leave a school, your email address associated with that school will expire. In principle, you can still work in LessonUp, but you won't receive newsletters and other mailings. It's advisable to use a different email address in LessonUp. Read in this article how to change your email address.
