Using the Spinner in LessonUp is primarily intended as a name-picker. Students' names automatically appear in the Spinner during a classroom lesson, after they enter the lesson using the lesson pincode.

Instead of student names, you can also use lesson specific vocabulary terms or questions in the spinner. This stimulates engagement and enjoyment within classroom interactions and shared lessons.

To insert terms or questions in the spinner, add a spinner to your slide via the +Component button, followed by Spinner.

Double-click on the Spinner or on the settings wheel to go to settings. Tick the box: Use terms instead of student names. You can now enter the terms/phrases/questions, separated by commas.

The Spinner with the terms or questions can now be used in the classroom or remotely to carry out formative assessments.
