Creating a formula in LessonUp.

How do you create a formula in LessonUp?

Updated over a year ago

With the 'Formula' component, you can place a formula anywhere on your slide.

Click on '+ Component', then select 'Formula'.

A window for creating the formula will appear. In the box on the right side, you can add the formula.

It may be more comfortable to design a formula in a text editor than in the visual editor. To use this text editor, click on 'Text editor.' In this text editor, there is also the option to use KaTex. KaTex is a globally used script for displaying mathematical formulas on websites, developed by Khan Academy.

Good to know: Once you're in the text editor, you can't revert to the visual editor for the current formula. However, this only applies to the formula you are currently working on. All other formulas will start in the visual editor.

For more information on working with formulas, you can refer to our video. To watch this video, click on 'Settings' and then on 'Watch the tutorial video on formulas.'

The formula appears in the top-left corner of the slide. You can adjust the size of the formula by resizing the frame.
