1. Adding the traffic light
To place the traffic light on a slide, click the Traffic light icon in the top toolbar of the lesson editor. The traffic light will appear directly on your canvas and can be dragged to your preferred position and resized.
2. Pre-configuring (Default colour & Modes)
As soon as you select the traffic light, the settings panel will open on the right-hand side. Here you can set the default state and display options:
Select default colour: Choose which colour the traffic light displays when you start the lesson:
Stop (Red): For silence, listening, or whole-class instruction.
Wait (Amber): For transition phases, wrapping up, or tidying away.
Go (Green): For independent or group work.
With or without amber light: Use the Show amber light toggle to choose between a 3-state traffic light (red, amber, green) or a 2-state traffic light (red and green only).
3. Adjusting during the lesson
You retain full control, whether you are presenting (via the Teach button) or editing the slide:
Switch instantly: Click directly on the traffic light or use the settings menu to quickly switch between states during your lesson.
Adjust on the slide: Change settings (such as enabling or disabling the amber light) at any time as required by your classroom situation.
