Show for Student Devices

Updated yesterday

The Show for Student feature is perfect for larger classes, hybrid lessons, or when accessibility is important. With this feature, students can follow the lesson slides on their own device while you are teaching.

Tip: If you want all students to focus entirely on your screen, it’s best to leave this feature turned off.

How does it work?

Normally, students only see that they have joined a lesson, and answer screens appear only on interactive slides. With Show for Student enabled, students can see all slides in real time on their own devices. This allows them to follow the content and stay fully in sync with the lesson.

The feature is entirely under your control and can be switched on or off at any time during the lesson.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Start your lesson.

  2. Click the settings cog.

  3. Toggle Show for Student on or off.

When the feature is enabled:

  • Students see the current slide on their device.

  • When you navigate to a new slide, their devices automatically follow.

When the feature is disabled:

  • Students only see that they have joined the lesson.

  • Answer screens appear only on interactive slides.

You can adjust this feature at any time during the lesson, giving you full control over what students see.
