With a fill in the blanks exercise, you can easily reinforce important words or concepts. Students complete a sentence or short text by clicking on the blank and then on the right answer. This exercise works well across many subjects where vocabulary and context are important.

How to add a fill in the blanks exercise to your lesson

  1. Click + Add slide and then choose Fill in the Blanks.

  2. Type your sentence or short paragraph into the text box.

  3. Select the words you want to hide and click Add word +. The selected words will appear at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Add extra distractors using the + button in the bottom left corner.

  5. Click Preview to see how the exercise will look during the lesson.
