Share lesson as PDF in an LMS

Updated over a month ago

Would you like to share a PDF version of a LessonUp lesson with your pupils or students through your Learning Management System (LMS)?

This article explains how to do so easily for the most commonly used platforms: Canvas, Eduarte, itsLearning, Magister, Somtoday/Parnassys, and Osiris.

Sharing a lesson is useful for lesson preparation, reference, homework, or revision. First, export your lesson as a PDF in LessonUp, save the file to your computer, and then follow the steps for your LMS below.

Canvas (Instructure)

  1. Log in to Canvas and open the relevant course.

  2. Click Files in the course navigation menu on the left.

  3. Click Upload in the top-right corner.

  4. Either drag your PDF into the upload window or click Choose Files to select it manually from your computer.

  5. Confirm your selection. The file will be uploaded and added to your course’s file list.

  6. You can now add it to Modules, Pages, or Assignments, making it accessible to your students.

Eduarte (Topicus)

  1. Log in to Eduarte via your school’s education portal.

  2. Go to the lesson planner or study guide of the subject or lesson where you’d like to add the material.

  3. If needed, create a new lesson moment or section.

  4. Add an attachment using the + Add button or the attachment option within the study guide.

  5. Select your LessonUp PDF file and confirm.

The file will be saved under the selected part of the study guide, making it available to your students.
